Of Course they were the good old days, Brian.
They were Good because in those days you never heard that "Your Call is important to us, but we are experiencing unusually high call volume. Please try again later!".
Nor did people say "Sorry - the Computer's down!" to any Media Salesman or Buyer in hurry !
If we cocked up in the office then everyone knew about it and it was best all round to take the blame.
As I recall, if someone was good, but made the odd mistake, then they'd be OK, but if they didn't fit, then they'd be gone - before the end of lunch.
No messing with "Official Warnings" and all that malarkey. A very Un PC world...
Tough on some - but Bloody Good Fun for the rest of us !
Those Guys raised the bar, in every sense of the word.
Great chaps. great days.Happy Memories!

All past is romanticised. Even certain Russians feel nostalgia for "the good old days" of Stalin... (BTW and for the record, I am not making any comparison between Stalin and either Ray or Tony)
