Nice piece as ever, Brian. Think it would be slightly off piste to think Sir Martin would approach things from anything but the "numbers side" of the equation; at the core, he's a numbers guy! However, his remarkable capacity (what drives the "admiration" from his peers) is that come rain, snow or hail, he would be at a client's doorstep in the middle of nowhere (thinking somewhere in Scontland, dunno why...) at 7 AM if needed. Not the broomstick-up-the-arse cum arrogant attitude you see in many agency CEOs, sadly. Maurice's "connecting company" motto sounds interesting on paper but has the smell of yet another marketing gimmick thrown at the endless pool of gullible marketers. We'll see. In the end, as you say, technology should be embraced as an enabler (helping to "open minds") rather than a a substitute for creativity and collaboration.
