The litmus test to find out how committed Starcom and Publicis are to fixing the mess will be where Steve King ends up:
In London: Not likely but such a step would be a revolution given the French ties and the fact that today, Starcom is in the Leo B building in Chicago. Nuf' said.
New York: The Road to fixing the mess will be long and hard but the parties are committed
Chicago: The Walking Deadthe mess doesn't want to be sorted
As Brian stated "You have to wish him luck"

Second Gerry's view. Perhaps Maurice's touch is getting a bit rusty? That said, most media agencies make a cult of reactiveness; it scares them to death to rock the boat beyond their client's perceived comfort zone, no matter what they might publicly (or even privately) admit. Steve has a huge task in his hands: when someone calls you in to "sort the mess" you should be wary; the "mess" many times doesn't want to be sorted-out.
